LPTF frequency synthesis chain: Results and improvement for the near future

Abstract

We have measured the frequency of the He-Ne/I2 laser starting from the Cs referenced CO2/OsO4 laboratory standard. As the laser diode stabilized on the two-photon transition in Rb seems to be a suitable reference for spectroscopic studies (H, He...) and a promising standard, we are modifying our chain in order to measure frequencies around 780 nm and specially the Rb one.
