Nonlinear all-optical vortex switch in optically induced two-dimensional waveguide arrays

Abstract

We present all-optical switching of the topological charge of a discrete vortex in a nonlinear four-waveguide structure optically induced in photorefractive media. The flip of the vorticity is fully controllable by the vortex beam power.
