Optical vortices in discrete rings

Abstract

We discuss the dynamics and topological transformations of discrete vortices in various rings of coupled nonlinear oscillators featuring Fano resonances, parity time symmetric defects, and coupled optical waveguides with positive and negative refractive indices.
