Abstract

Solution-processed organohalide perovskites are recognized as the most promising photoactive material for the next generation solar cell fabrication. In recent years, the power conversion efficiency of organohalide perovskite-based solar cells has surpassed 20%, which highlights their excellent potential for solar cell applications. This chapter discusses the optoelectronic properties of organohalide perovskite absorbers. In addition, some points related to the process of perovskitebased solar cell fabrication are also discussed. Finally, the importance of further research in the area of organohalide perovskites is outlined, especially that which is connected to their stability and commercialization.
