Abstract

Second-harmonic generation in a periodic KTP structure made from N pairs of optically-contacted, critically phase-matched, walkoff -compensated bulk plates is theoretically and experimentally investigated. As compared with a bulk crystal an efficiency enhancement of 15 has been measured with N=5.
