Abstract
The stability of the pump-and-signal resonant self-phase-locked, frequency divide-by-three optical parametric oscillator is theoretically investigated using an approximate analytical model and a full propagation model. The upper branch solution is found always stable, contrary to the signal-and-idler resonant devices.
