Abstract

There are different approaches to current Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) minimization-frequency domain or time domain THD computation and global or constrained optimization problem formulation. Time domain constrained optimization problem formulation seems to be most adequate from computational efficiency and robustness perspectives. The paper presents time domain constrained optimization results of current THD/harmonic loss for a two-level three-phase inverter.
