Abstract
The results of an experimental study of swirled turbulent jets are presented. The influence of a number of disturbing factors on the structure of a swirled jet is investigated; great attention is paid to the analysis of turbulent flow characteristics. It is shown, in particular, that the main distinction of the swirled jet from that of an unswirled jet is the increased level of turbulence at the boundary of reverse currents.
