Project Description
This project aims to provide an overview and in-depth historical and comparative analysis of corporate laws and corporate governance institutions (the corporate governance system) in Central Asia to answer the following research questions: (1) Why does the current corporate governance system exist? (2) How has this system evolved? (3) What is the rationale behind the system? (4) How can the system effectively address sustainability risks, particularly climate change? (5) To what extent does the system resonate with other Global South countries to help solve similar challenges these countries might face?
